Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers
Of or pertaining to a number system have 2 as its base
Consisting of two (units or components or elements or terms) or based on two. Adjective: boolean ‘booleeun Of or relating to a combinatorial system devised by George Boole that combines propositions with the logical operators AND and OR and IF THEN and EXCEPT and NOT I think, today, I want to focus on the terms “binary” and “boolean”. You might wonder why, so, I will oblidge with a reason and move on. As we can see from the above 2 definitions of the words, they both work on logic of some sort. Binary has only 2 possible outcomes (on/off) as where Boolean may have more complex calculation that still results in a true/false outcome, but note, it still has a logical outcome. This logic sometimes fails me, and can leave me confused for years. When asking a “yes/no” question that does not involve complex calculation, one would logically assume that it is BINARY. By this I simply mean that there MUST be either a “yes” or a “no” outcome in a relatively short space of time. When asking a complex question that has a True or False answer, based on the timing, situation and/or venue and/or climate for that matter, then one would assume that it is BOOLEAN. I will state again, Boolean does have an answer that results in True or False. It is for this reason that I am thoroughly confused with the “Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus” concept. No... wait... it is all relative... "Men are from earth. Women are from earth. Deal with it." This is my thinking: When in a leadership position, one is expected to make decisions based on facts. Sometimes you do not have the facts, BUT, you still need to have an outcome to those you lead. Statement: "Limbo" is a terrible thing. "Silence" is a terrible thing. "Answers" are good... – it gives direction, clarity and/or vision. Being in limbo and listening to silence only breeds assumption, speculation and connotation. Rumour and Grapevine thrive on silence and limbo as a fuel source. Insecurity and confusion are their grand children.
A well formulated "Answer" is derived from binary and boolean decision making (a cognitive process of reaching a decision). The BINARY alternative to my thinking above: Chaos, panic and disorder - my work here is done.
